The Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association for Advancement of the Israel Diamond Industry represents 200 diamond manufacturers, who account for approximately 95% of the total output of the Israel diamond industry.
The members of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) include large, medium-sized and small manufacturing firms, sightholders (who receive a direct supply of rough diamonds from the DTC) and non-sightholders. Members of all aspects of diamond manufacturing are represented in “sections” (sawing, polishing wheel reconditioning, industrial diamonds, lasers and precious stones).
The structure and activity of the IsDMA and its different institutions is governed by the association regulations. Accordingly, the supreme body of the IsDMA is the General Assembly, which convenes annually. The policy of the IsDMA is guided by its officeholders and institutions – the president, presidium, executive committee and other committees – which are chosen once every three years in direct democratic elections. The General Assembly elects a Control Committee, Elections Committee and court. The regular activity of the IsDMA is conducted by its general manager, deputy general manager and administrative staff.
The IsDMA represents the Israel diamond industry and its manufacturers in all Israeli and international forums that discuss matters that are relevant to them. The major activities of the IsDMA include:
