According to an AOL Shopping survey, in a continuing trend from last year, three out of four Internet users will do their holiday shopping on the web.
74% of the shoppers responded that they plan to do at least some of their shopping online and 26% will spend about half of their holiday gift budget online.
Many of the respondents said that even if they purchase a gift in a bricks-and-mortar store, they will previously compare prices on the Internet.
AOL General Manager Robert Hayes said: "The poll findings are a clear indication that consumers, on tighter budgets this holiday season, recognize the many benefits of shopping online, including the ability to save time and money. Online comparison shopping will continue to grow as an essential element of any holiday shopping plan."
