De Beers Diamond Jewelers, the joint venture between De Beers South Africa and LMVH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, has launched Internet commerce on its debeers.com website.
According to wwd.com, the e-commerce will be available only in the United States. It will offer jewelry ranging from a $500 diamond-studded necklace to a $30,000 engagement ring.
E-commerce of luxury goods is currently thriving at websites like meiman.marcus.com, e-Bay, Bluenile.com and others.
