Promotion of Rough Diamond Trading

As one of the world's major buyers of quality rough diamonds, Israel imports billions of dollars worth of rough diamonds every year. In order to maintain Israel's status as a rough trade center, the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) is constantly searching for new sources of rough diamonds for the Israeli Diamond Industry. It also facilitates ongoing contacts with veteran and new rough centers worldwide.

The IDI hosts international conferences and discussions regarding rough sources and attends international conferences in order to forge vital new links with rough producers for the industry. To this end it also provides Israeli diamantaires with up-to-date, printed contact information for rough suppliers and producers abroad.
