Much like other celebs, Hollywood’s No. 1 couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, have decided to try their hand at jewelry design. The examiner.com reports that the megastars have joined forces with the British fine jeweler Asprey and will soon launch a limited edition jewelry collection. The new jewelry line, which will be called “The Protector,” will be based on snake motifs. During her third pregnancy, Jolie received a snake ring. At the time she stated that she regarded it as a symbol of protection. Along those lines, the jewelry designs will include snake motifs in various shades of green, black and colorless gemstones. The jewelry line will include pendants, rings cufflinks and earrings. As is the couple’s custom, the project includes an element of charity. All income from jewelry sales will go to the joint fund for children in conflict zones. The couple has contributed over a million dollars to the cause in the past. Ecanadanow.com quotes Jolie: “These children need a safe place to learn and recover. A place where they can learn about reconciliation, build a better future – a place where they can be themselves - children. Sometimes the education of these children is forgotten. Millions of children in conflict areas do not go to school at all.”
