Antiquorum Collectors’ Watch Auction Marks New Record

Antiquorum's Important Collectors' Wristwatches, Pocket Watches, Clocks & Horological Tools auction, which was held on October 3-4 in Geneva, achieved a record-setting price for a Patek Philippe luxury watch. The platinum wristwatch, with a perpetual calendar and retrograde date, went for 114,000 Swiss francs.
JCKnews reports that a The Hunt clock-watch, with 13 complications by Gideon & Co., sold for 198,000 Swiss francs. A platinum, minute-repeating carillon watch with Westminster Chimes from Edouard JeanRichard - one of only two known such watches - fetched 168,000 Swiss francs. A Vacheron Constantin baguette diamond-set women's bracelet watch went for 96,000 Swiss francs, and a rare Vacheron Constantin minute-repeater eight-day desk clock went for 38,400 Swiss francs.
A complex Orrery Astrolabium Celestial Clock from Christian Van der Klaauw, Joure fetched 66,000 Swiss francs.
