Over 200 pieces of antique and modern jewelry were stolen on August 12 from the ART NOCTURNE Fair in Knokke, Belgium. Many of the items are signed pieces by such noted jewelers as Cartier, Lalique, Vever, Van Cleef & Arpels and others. The jewels were created during different periods from the 19th century onwards, and include examples of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Retro styles.
Epoque Fine Jewels, owner of the jewels, has asked the World Federation of Diamond Bourses to publicize the description of the jewels stolen amongst the members of all diamond exchanges.
Photos of many of the stolen pieces follow. For a full list and description of all items click here.
